Abstract

Colon Hydrotherapy is an age-old therapy with it written in the Egyptian medical document discovered by Ebers from 1500 BC.. Over the years and still today it can mean many different systems to undertake the cleansing process of the colon.  Colon Hydrotherapy can mean Enema, Colema Board, an ‘open’ system, such as the Libbe system, gravity system, sometimes known as the woods system, ‘closed’ colonics or even colon lavage.  Due to these different systems being bundled together it can be a confusing for the potential client, and any referring practitioners. This leaves this therapy underutilized and misunderstood.

Why do we need closed colonics today like never before? We have rates of cancer, diabetes, obesity, auto-immune, autism increasing at a rapid rate, not decreasing. We have fertility issues in both men and woman, we are burying our children for the first time in history. We are doing something fundamentally wrong.

Drawing on the work of Dr Batmanghelidj, Dr Jensen and Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov, closed colonics is a ‘therapy’ that can, when used correctly re-hydrate, chronically dehydrated patients, it can remove the toxic waste not just from the bowels but from the cells, it can offer the body the opportunity to find homeostasis to get well.

With the Rojas soaking technique performed with the intention and understanding that we are affecting the lymphatic system, the nervous system, the microbial system, the digestive system and the emotional Spiritual system, this therapy offers healing to the whole person.
